now i understand, Hair growth Hair on the scalp grows about half an inch per month. There are about 300,000 hairs on the scalp at any given time, though there is considerable individual variation. the exact number of hairs depends on the number of hair follicles, which is established befor birth. Each hair goes through alternating periods of growth and rest. On average, each person sheds 100 to 150 hairs a day from the scalp. Growth phase At the start of a growth phase(which, on the scalp, last about three years for each hair) the hair root stimulates the growth of a bulb and then a shaft. Rest phase During the rest phase (which lasts about three months on the scalp) the bulb retracts from the root and eventually the hair falls out. A new hair begins to grow in the same follicle. AMA association How am i doing Jase?? I love your price for a cut. wish you lived closer.

The spa I work at uses my pricing on hair services. I own a in-home salon services company called The Pampering Prince. I do salon services in my clients homes (duh, hence the name). When I came here (the spa) we didn't do any hair and clients kept asking us for hair services. So when we added it, since I am the full-time cosmetologist here (aka the manager, the gopher, the slave) we used my pricing since I thought ti was fair and I didn't want us to get into the "spa" mode of pricing where most charge 50ish or more for a simple cut. I like the spa I am at. It's homey yet sophisticated. And I love my boss which says a lot since I have never had a boss in the hair biz before and I have had my license for 6 years now. Rosia,
If you look back to my post (page 4) you'll see my hair (on me, of course) and my Amazon, Cupid.

Who cares! I spent too many years worrying about what other people thought of me; now at 61 i want to love my life while i still have it! Good for you! A good motto for us all. I've finally begun to think that way - not too easy for a hairdresser

My hair has always been short. It was very stylish and really looks better on me. I've been letting it grow. I thought I should have long hair before I get so old that it won't grow. I love the feel of long hair and I even like the way it looks so far.

I hear y'all. I finally said who cares 6 years ago and grew my hair to the 18 inches of curly lushesness it was. Then 3 months ago chopped it off and did this pixie. Now 3 months later its a spikey messy but sofisticated look and I just dyed it ravens wing black (black with blue hue). I love it and it surprisingly didn't make me look pale, but actually made me look more tan! Go figure!
