Hi,

Has anyone had any success with Craig's List? I prefer Kijiji because it shows me how many have viewed my add but it won't let me link to my online stores or online information.

Has anyone got any leads or sales from it?

hi ! actually my hubby and i found a tenant through craig's list.i would definitely go that route again. the people we got were all very nice and i would have rented out our lower apt. to anyone of them. my neighbor actually suggested using it a few months back. we initially hung up a few flyers and put a sign on our front door but we really didn't the kind of people we wanted that way. the only thing we found with craig's list is that we had to update our post every few days b/c otherwise it would be considered "old" and people werent' as apt to look at it.

I've used Craig's list to get freelance writing jobs and I've also put in ads to sell items. You just have to be careful tho. My friend in Hawaii was looking for a home rental and was contacted by someone in another country with some sort of scam to rent her a house.

They do have lots of scam warnings and only allow you to post in one area.... since I have an online store that is limiting

I use Craigslist for the same thing, and we have been so happy with it. It seems like overall we get much better applicants than we used to from the newspaper. It's wonderful. Plus it saves so much money and hassle. Our local paper had gone up to almost $70 a week for like 20 words near the end of the time we were advertising there. The rental market was down, so we'd get maybe 5 calls for that price. We were very relieved when craigslist took over and made it better.

Also, as to the online store, if you want to post in more than one place, you need to change the wording each time.

I LOVE Craigslist! First of all it is free. Second of all you reach lots of people in your community. I train all of the new consultants I work with to use it by posting weekly in the forums that will allow it - for sale and even business opportunities.

I like kijiji better, it's the Canadian version and much better laid out, it also keeps track of how many unique views you get for which item.

I use kijiji, craigs list, buynsell, froogle, and soon etsy. I'll keep you updated as to which works best.
