So my SIL is 7 months pregnant and already looks like she's going to explode. I think it's because she's so skinny, so her belly is more pronounced.
She was sitting on the couch with her mom, and she was leaning against her mom, and both of mom's arms were encircling her with both hands on her daughter's pregnant belly.
To me that was just icky and creepy. Don't you think that's just a little too close? They stayed like that for a good half hour.
And THEN, after MIL and SIL disentangled themselves, SIL's husband came over and took over. And even when we went to the family party later that night he had to sit with his hand on her belly the whole time.
I'm sorry, but I just find that icky. I can see if the baby is kicking or whatever, it's kind of neat to feel it once. But to sit there just HOLDING another person's pregnant belly? And your MOM? I mean, husband I can understand, but MOM? I was really uncomfortable.
On a positive note, I didn't get a single question "when are you having kids?" But I was so excited that I had good comebacks that I was almost disappointed, and told husband so, and he laughed out loud he thought it was so funny and proclaimed me "weird."
Well, I was so proud that I had good comebacks and I didn't get to use them!
