holly... we keep loosing power but i live in a town wehre there is an energy co-op so the people who loose power are the ones fixing it so it tends to come back on quicker.

But yes.. I am definately thankful for the power

hahahahaha! laugh

yes, it's not like i need cookies around the house, but i'm planning on taking them into the store for my knitters this week. They'll probably hate me for it... laugh

Last year i made "cookies in a jar" for gifts. You take an old jar and there are recipes online and you layer the ingredients in the jar, put scrap fabric on the top to cover the lid, and print baking instructions off on your computer. It makes a nice, inexpensive gift.

I am looking forward to my husband making dinner - He's off this week and I am working, so it will be nice to come home and not cook. Holly, I had the idea of making the cookies in the jar for my sister in laws bridal shower (as favors). My other sister in law wanted to choke me because she said it was very time consuming and messy. I don't know, I wasn't there hee hee.

oh, not really. I've done it and i did not find it that way. Also, if they aren't the baking types you can also do something like mix herbs... a bouquet garni... or a rub.

Or you can make bath things easily... like scented and colored bath salts and put them in clear jars. I think making cookies is much more labor intensive than gifts in a jar.

I'm looking forward to watching Part I of Jane Eyre, knitting lace in a yarn called "happy dance," and reading later.
