Yes, some people dont rate Lulu as you dont get any exposure/sales unless you buy the ISBN.

I like it though and have made a little, but only through friends and family when I direct them there.

They are improving their promotion options. Cafepress is better but Ive forgotten my details - must look up again - my son has 2 designs for T-shirts - I couldnt get my head round their upload process though. I will register on your site in the next couple of days too.

I think you are working just as hard as me on here!

:-) I talked to someone who sold about 1.000 copies of an ISBN-free book (both print and pdf copies) at Lulu's. He did a lot of successful marketing on the web. Maybe that is exceptional - for me it is encouraging.

Best wishes,
Sandra

I signed up for lulu but haven't done anything with it yet so let me know what you think.

As to ezines.com, yes, I think it is more about getting your link out there than having people actually read your stuff. Altho, you may find, over time, that many do read your articles and, if they are original and well written, people pick them up and put them on their own sites-which even helps you more.

I'll keep posting on ezine.com I've had 161 hits to my articles and 2 articles were picked up by 2 different ezines that had gone to my site. So for what I want to use it for, it works.

I am updating my cafe press account to a premium account this week. I just uploaded a number of different images, my new avator being one of them. I now have too many images for one store and 3 stores ends up being too confusing. I did sell some stuff this weekend which was good. It takes time and lots of work. For those that make money at cafepress they are uploading lots of images and are promoting it all the time.

Carennedy, what do you use cafepress for? I'm not familiar with it.

I just noticed your "Official Member of Coffeeholics". I just read a book you'd like if you like mysteries. It was called "Through the Grinder" by Cloe Coyle. It's a coffee shop mystery and there's recipes and lots of coffee trivia in it. It's a series but havent' read the others.

Well done Carennedy! Youre making progress then! Just a thought but if you join lots of big writing sites like Helium (and maybe write in an informative way about the history of coffee or something) they have authors bio pages with google promo buttons where you can put your url.

I love the bit about cafe press images and your new one is great - so apt!

Worked ALL DAY on the premium site to get it organized and all the products choosen, lots of work but I'm glad I did it.

I'll have to check out those sites, maybe tomorrow!!!

If you have a moment, check out my cafe press site and let me know what you think.

FYI -- I just found out that one of my old articles was posted on a site without my info. This is an issue because I was submitting it to ezine.com and have now been flagged for potential plagerism. You may want to check to make sure yours aren't there....BellaOnline ALERT: Raw URLs are not allowed in these forums for security reasons. Please use UBB code. What? thats terrible! Ive heard about this happening on other sites but can hardly believe it. Good luck! Is this only since ezine?

If you win, they have to hand over all their profit they made from your work I think.

By the way, ive often thought it funny/trouble how we all have so many pen names on different sites - bound to cause mixups?

No pen names used. The put bellaonline as the writer. I always use my real name when writing. I also always use Carennedy for forums and marketing.

By using pen names you are diluting your brand and your marketing power.

I voided it off of ezine and I will request that they put the correct name and links into it. I'm not going to worry about anything else. As long as I get the correct name and links that's all I care about.
