This isn't a recent article, but the explanation of sensory issues complicated by Dabrowski's overexcitabilities is terrific. If your child has sensory issues, I encourage you to consider a sensory diet. There's a handy form here for discerning particular difficulties.

Another great resource is The Alert Program: "How Does Your Engine Run?" Parents can get the manual and use the approach to help determine what sensory strategies work. Find the manual and other related resources here:
