Each and every member of our family enjoys being technologically proficient. My wife and I have always played games and chatted on forums and the like together, ever since we met. Our son can already (at three-years-old) read some words, type a little, and use a mouse.
Her parents seem to think this technology-based interaction takes away from quality family time. She was raised without even a television until she was 5-yrs-old.
I'm at a loss on how to explain to them that this is just a DIFFERENT form of family interaction.

What are your opinions on this?

Well, is this something you do together or seperately?

If it's something you do together than it's a family activity, if it's something you do seperately then it's just an activity.

My kids are computer proficent and my parents think they are on it way too much. They are right but I will agree that this helped them to learn to read earlier than other kids. It's a lot better than watching TV!!!

As long as your doing it together and your talking together and spending time together what does it matter what you do?

I don't know ... are we connecting.....

I'd say your spending as much quality time with your family as you are with me right now.... I'm feeling the love!!!! LOL big time LOL.

Your marriage has just become a long distance relationship. I see my husband only on weekends and call very rarely and I'd say I spend more quality time.
