If anyone is thinking of travel to Poland, do it now. I have heard that after 2008, the money system will change and your American money will not go as far. Does anyone have more on this? I was in Poland in 2004, and at that time was told the above. At that time, it was around 4 to 1 or a bit less, now it is around 3.13 to 1 and changing each day. This is the rate of exchange, American money to Polish.

Spring 2007, it's 2.8 to 1 and I imagine it will improve for the Poles over time. It will be "worse" for us, as Americans using dollars there but that is to be expected. Same thing happened in Canada, too. My money does not go as far there as it used to, either.

I think it's still 3 to 1 for EURO, though.

Last I knew it was 2.78 to one, but this is still good. Good for us, with buying power, and good for Poland, to help them.

Now it's about 2.2 (to zloty) or something like that. But zloty is getting stronger-dollar is not.

I've made a mistake-it is to euro not to zloty.

Today it is around 2.13 to each American dollar. Does this mean things are getting better in Poland? I know our dollar is down, but has the Polish money gone up, and why?
