I'm dressing up as a hippy for halloween (very scary, i know) and have the right hair length/style for a style like farah fawcett. I think. Pretty sure. But I don't have any rollers or hair curlers. is there any other way i can get this look on wednesday? Thanks

You can buy Sponge rollers fairly cheeply at any drug or discount store, since they are soft you can sleep with them in. In the morning just brush your hair with your fingers, using a brush will cause your hair to frizz.

Having lived through the 70's and having been a hippy - Hard to believe isn't it? smile smile I'm thinking that a really hippy hairstyle is long and straight and parted in the middle. - Or pulled into 2 'tails' rubber band just below the ears on each side.

Farrah had a great style for the 70's but I just don't think of her as a hippy.

I think braids were popular then too. Maybe long straight hair with just the front pieces pulled back into a skinny braid.

You could also probably curl your hair Farrah style with a blow dryer & round brush.

Like Lynne, I like the straight look for a hippy style, too--and with an across the forehead headband, you'd be totally hippy. The headband looks good with the braids, too.
