No need to reply to this. I'm just posting to get my feelings out. The girl I was destined to marry is no more. She wants kids, I do not. End of story. It's sad, but at the same time bittersweet. We have our memories. You know, breaking up with someone is difficult, whether you are the one to initiate or the one on the receiving end. But we are both adults and we have to do what's in the best interest of each other and anyone else involved....in this case her son.

That is the correct way to think about it. You are strong enough to realize that. Some people become so overwhelmed with depression and that is very difficult.

I'm sorry to hear that. Everyone has been through it, and it sucks. Sometimes it is best to take the short term pain to find true happiness in the long term.

Terrence, I so know where you're coming from. A previous relationship of mine broke up because he wanted kids and I didn't. I can completely empathise. I hope the pain has reduced for you now. It's never easy, but it does get easier as time goes on.

I'm sorry you're going through this. Break-ups are always tough, no matter what. You know you did the right thing, and time is going to heal the hurt. Just hang in there. The sun is going to come out again.
