No computer problems except double posts, huh EMG?
The only thing I'm worried about is that I'm working almost every day...I never realized how precious my time is..............

I believe my darling Rusty is jealous! I have my new fish in their tank, and he doesn't seem to like it at all! He seemed mad yesterday when we were all in there looking at the fish! He pouted for a little, but as soon as we gave him attention he was fine!

Lol Elise..the double post was my error, not the computers.. I bought a beautiful marble double tail betta yesturday....he was just gorgeous. A brown/black marble on white/beige body color with clear fins that had just a touch of blue and green on them....beautiful....I ended up bringing him back though He had a pretty bad swim bladder problem which I believed to be cronic...I had paid over 15$ for him and decided that if I'm going to pay that much for a betta, he better be extremly healthy and in good order. He was in a plastic bag with very little water when I bought him..I could make out that he was a beautiful fish, but couldn't see his SB problem. It was really hard to bring him back too....but I couldn't enjoy him very well because he couldn't swim to the bottom of the tank and just ended up hanging on the top all the time, with feeble efforts to reach the bottom. In my experience this sort of thing only gets worse as it appears to be a poorly developed swim bladder. These pics are pretty lousy, wish I had gotten better ones before I brought him back.... Dang...wish I never saw him !!

Wow, it took me like four reads through to realize that you had taken the fish back to the store. Okay now I understand, lol...

That sucks Emg He was very pretty!
I almost bought another betta today, but I stopped myself. Twice. Lol. We went to Superpet to bring back this cat fountain that my Rufus is scared of... So I went to look at the fish, they had some nice bettas, but there was only one that really caught my attention, and he was sad and not very active, so I thought I'd better not. Then we went to Walmart to get a different fountain my mom thought Rufus might like better, because it was a fountain bowl, and I picked up this awesome silk rainbow coloured plant, it's tall so I can put it in my new tank
I finally went to this pet store my sister had been telling me about, wow is it ever awesome!! I think I found my new favourite place to be! The bettas were all in small goldfish bowls with gravel to live in instead of cups They had a pond with enormous!!!!! koi in it, an adorably sweet little ferret who I am now trying to convince my mother should live with my ferret wish me luck hehe, and a room just full of amazing fish that I had never seen at Petsmart, Superpet or, obviously Walmart. I was very impressed!! They had some great looking aquariums, but way out of my league, and some really cool ornaments to put in the tanks. I'm going to have to go back and pick out what I want I saw these beautiful looking eel, I finally saw a pirannha, huge oscars!! Everything was soo neat!! I saw three bettas there, that I would have loved to take home
I didn't get a chance to look at all the fish though, I started to get some side effects of an anxiety attack I had had earlier. Ah well. Maybe I can coax my mom into taking me tomorrow!!

The Pet World here has a fish room the size of a small house, it's huge! Know what look like really neat fish? Mollies. I think I'll have to get some of those one day, when I can have a nice big tank. It could get ugly. ""ugly"" meaning my tank will be quite large and contain many fish and cost a lot of money. My boyfriend wants a big tank someday too, since they look sophisticated he says, so I guess I'll just have to marry him, huh That's certainly a quality to look for...haha
P.S. I want a ferret
I'm a jellyfish!

my new little fish Ren has decided to do his own interior decorating. He has a glass thermometer on the side of his tank which he's managed to move about 2" along from where I stuck it. I guess he didn't like it where I put it. I wonder where he's going to put it when he's done.

Mashi- where is this store? I have three fish stores that I love. Not all of them are close though! Worldwide Aquarium is five minutes from me, The Hidden Reef is 45 minutes away, and Zooz is 20-30 minutes away. They are really good, but your store sounds awesome w/ having the bettas in goldfish bowls. I think every store should do that.
Worldwide has the most amazing blue double tail there, but my mom put the limit at 2 tanks in my room oh well! I may buy him for a friend!
Rusty is adjusting well to sharing me with 9 other fish. I still talk to him and play with him, so it is all good.

I saw some mollies when I was at Petland, they do look neat eliseaboo That's cool that your boyfriend wants one Mine doesn't mind my new fish passion, but he's not so big on my wanting a room to house all my babies!! He says I absolutely can not have any more than 2 ferrets, and he really would rather not have 3 cats. He doesn't like how I go on and on about wanting all kinds of different animals once we're out on our own. Hehehe. Ferrets are sooo much fun!!! If you have time on your hands and can play with one all the time, I would definitely say look into it I'm working on getting a friend for my buddy. My guy just had bath time, he's quietly grooming himself now.
That's so cute ozsan My redfish tried to do that with his plant. I don't think he was too happy to find out I had buried it in the stones really good.
Bettagirl, the store is a city away from me, not too far, but definitely not walking distance. I get the impression they might be a chain, it's called Petland, but when I looked up their website, the city wasn't listed But my Superpet and Petsmart are also in that city, the city I'm in has Paulmac's, which is a good store, but they certainly don't get a lot of variety. I should note that Paulmac's also keeps their bettas in bowls, not the goldfish bowl, slightly smaller, but bigger than cups! My mom made a big stink about me getting Bluefish while I already had Redfish, but I managed to convince her. Hehe, I find she has quite the soft spot for animals, which is bad for both of us, because we cave in easily for animals. I wonder if I will be able to play with Spike soon. He's getting friendlier with me, but I still scare him a lot.
Hehe, fishwife, I felt like a kid in a candy store!! Those eels were so gorgeous I'm thinking about getting another tank for them if I can't house them with Spike!! I don't think my mom will be all that happy to hear that. Lol. I can't wait to go back to Petland! I may even give them my resume if I don't get hired at the place I just applied at. lol
