Thanks EMG That's good to know! I haven't decided whether to get a 10gl or 20gl, my mom said I could have an aquarium for my birthday if I didn't get the job... Which is kind of cool, but not really lol. Thanks for the site Corys are so cute
What are Otocinclus? I've never heard of them.
I found a cute site with a compatibility chart, I don't know how reliable it is, but I really liked the site, so I'll post it here and see what you guys say! http://www.aquariumstuffers.com/compatibility.cfm?Section=freshwater
SpikeKing was sulking in his plant when I woke up this morning because I fell asleep watching him, and I forgot to shut my door... Eeyore and Tigger think my room is the party room... I woke up and my chess pieces were everywhere and Eeyore was behind my dresser... He's up and swimming again though, so I just have to remember to close my door before falling asleep next time!
I can't wait to take pics of him! He is so cute!!
Hehe, he's found this spot in his plant, where he can sort of tunnel through it, he's been doing that for a bit now
My mom's boyfriend asked me if we're going to get my tank today so I may come home with a new home that I'm going to let sit for a bit and get him some friends!!

Thanks fishwife I should have pictures by the end of this weekend, just have to catch my sister long enough to borrow her cam!

[Have any of you seen a Black Ghost fish?? Wow, are they pretty!!! ]

I got my new betta yesterday, he's a really nice deep red colour with white tips on his front fins. I thnk I'll have to take the filter out as the current seems too strong for him as he seems to have to fight it to stay in one place. He's going to have to live without filtrtion :-( . I'm still searching for a name for him the family keep saying just call him Huie II but I don't like that.

The new fish is settling in well and starting to get friendly . He doesn't seem to like the new food I bought so I went back to what I was feeding Huie and that seems to be more to his liking. The new one sinks too fast and I don't think that's very good but the old one floats and give him more time to get to it.
Do you think it would be ok to run the filter for an hour or so each day to keep his tank clean?

Ozsan....try to find a way to slow the current down. I have heard of folks using those soap dishes that suction to the wall. They stick them to the side of the tank just under the filter outlet. I use a piece of plastic canvas which I set just infront of the filter outlet and use the tank hood to hold it in place...sort of hard to discribe..lol..just have to figure a system for yourself that works.

There is probably a way you can slow the current down if you think about it..guess it depends on how creative you can be.

the return is ok as it's on the end of a plastic tube and I've burried it so that the return is not too stong it's just the intake that seems to be too strong for him. I'll try to work out some way of slowing the intake down a bit.
He's started building a bubble nest.I fanally named him his name is Ren which is short for Renovate - part of my photo restoration business name.

EMG you are right, your avitar does look good! I need to get one for myself...oh humbug...

I'm glad to hear everyones fishes are doing so well, I just got back from a weekend trip, and mine was very excited to see his person who feeds him :-P

I wonder what I should do with him over spring break? The dorms will be open, so I can come back to feed him every day, but he will be so lonely . And he will only get fed once a day, instead of three times a day like he does now (only one per feeding, don't worry, lol!) But I don't want to stress him out by moving him around too much. Oh what to do what to do...gah!

By the way, this graemlin rocks:
