Spring is here, and there are new things available fresh for us to eat. What are your favorite herbs with those foods?

I probably use dill the most, because it goes with tuna fish which is a perennial favorite here smile Tuna is quick and easy - and the cats love the juice!

I planted a bunch of dill seed in the garden, we'll see how it grows ...

Chives - I love chives, particularly garlic chives. I have them with everything. They are great because the more you pick them and them, the more they grow.

I love using rosemary and sage for cooking. Also ginger.

Dill is a great herb and not as commonly used. It adds a different dimension to recipes. I'll try some dill in tuna as I love tuna salads.

Dill is also beautiful to watch growing in a garden.

Wow, marisu, I get TONS of chives growing in my herb garden and I almost consider them a weed. I never know what to do with them! What do you add them to?

Garlic, Garlic, Garlic! I am Italian on my Father's side, Cajun on my Mother's side. I can't imagine the world without tons of garlic! LOL

Chives are GREAT Lisa - I put them on Salads, top my egg salad with a few, or add them to a spicy omelet. They are also a great addition to "mock" mashed potatos - I make "mock" fully loaded mashed potatos with mashed cauliflower to which I stir in Sour Cream, Chives, Cheese, and bacon bits. YUM.

ooo egg salad. I *love* egg salad and am just too lazy to make it a lot of the time. I really should eat more of it. Now I'm hungry ...

I love egg salad too and my kids just started loving it too. We seem to be having it every Saturday for the past few weeks. They like it on a tortilla wrap just like tuna salad. Lots of protein!

I love chives and they are so easy to grow. I like to snip them on top of deviled eggs and baked potatoes. I like rosemary crushed with minced garlic in olive oil for dipping or on pasta.

We currently have sage and oregano growing by the window and oddly we're really not using it at all. I guess we have to make more Italian dishes ...
