During my long weekend discussed in my earlier post, I had the following amusing conversation from my husband's cousin, who is 27.

I don't want to have children, she told me.

That is cool, I replied. We feel the same way. How does your BF feel?, I asked.

He is cool. I told him that I did not want to have kids, at least not for a long long time. Like maybe when I am 35.

Little does she know how fast that time will fly smile

I can understand wanting to wait to have kids but then again, having children and doing all the kid things is a VERY physical thing. If she has a kid when she is 35, she will be 55 when the kid is 20.

Ingilbert...You might want to stop blinking when you turn 27. I know that because I will be 35 in February. I am thinking I will stop blinking now or 40 will be here in a blink of an eye. HEE HEE.

The past 13 years seems to have gone by fine fast for me, but personally, I'm glad, as all those years have not all been happy ones for me. But that is a discussion for another day, if ever. smile

Eek! I just turned 38. It seems like yesterday everyone was telling me I had plenty of time to decide. It is kind of sad when people stop saying that, and it does seem to come very quickly.

It has been hard for me to accept turning 35 - I am trying to work on this or else turning 40 will be an unbearable event for me...
I did start therapy, and I am told to work on loving myself....
