Hello all! I've been a longtime lurker and finally decided to join. You guys have helped me out tons. I've been CF for as long as I can remember but am constantly being told how I'll change my mind, or when I get married it'll be different. I am young (20) but I think I know my own mind pretty dang well! One of my long time friends just announced her pregnancy and I pretty much had to fake excitement. But inside, I was sick. Her boyfriend is in the Air Force and won't be discharged for 3 years and refuses to think about marriage, so she's going to be a single mom. I know a lot of you guys have gone through this same thing and that's what prompted me to join. Again, thank you so much and I'm glad to be apart of the family!

Well as for the boyfriend in the Air Force...at least the kid has medical coverage until the dad gets out or the kid hits 18 whatever comes first.
Welcome to the forum..It's a great place to hang out.

Yeah that's what I thought too. I don't know all the facts but my friend told me something to this effect: That the Air Force wouldn't pay for any of the medical coverage until her boyfriend takes a paternity test. I guess the AF has a lot of women that get pregnant and just take advantage of all the benefits. Then it turns out that the cadet isn't even the father of this kid that got money poured into it!
I guess I'm just a little freaked out because it's the first person in my circle of friends that made this lovely announcement. I know that others are soon to follow. I can't wait for the gift grab!

Hi all! Kittybeep, I hope you don'y mind if I jump into your thread, but I'm new here too and just wanted to introduce myself.
i am so happy to have found this forum! I am 28, married 2 years, and happily CF. In the past year at my work, there have been FIVE pregnancies...and I tell you I am so tired of hearing all the gory details. What is it about preganant women who assume every woman wants to be subjected the minute-by-minute pregnancy news?
Anyway, I am so excited to be here!

On a roll, jump on! Haha. Yeah, I don't really get that either. My friend was telling me about her gas already. I mean, gas is funny when you're not pregnant, but when you're pregnant it's just sick!
Thanks for the welcomes too!
