Hi all,

I wrote Canadian Dollar's Rise - Good Deal? for a couple of reasons.

First, it's certainly topical that the Canadian dollar is worth more than the U.S. dollar for the first time in about 30 years. In Canada I think we're all wondering what the heck this means.

While I don't think the currency fluctuation is the biggest factor in the cost of a trip, it does make a difference.

In the article I suggest a couple of things for both Canadian visitors to the U.S. and American visitors to Canada to think about.

My prediction is that the loonie (Canadian dollar) cannot stay this high for long, but hey, I've been wrong before.

In the article I urge Americans to shop for deals in Canada if the Canadian dollar does stay high. This may seem counter-intuitive, but Canada needs American tourists.

All in all, a very interesting economic situation - though personally I don't see it lasting until next summer.

Anyone else care to join me out on the limb of economic predictions? ;-)
