I find it amusing that we point out the flaws of other countries so easily and yet seem blind to ours.

Are our elections any more legitimate than Iran's or anyone else's? The people's vote in the presidential election means squat as we learned a couple of elections back. The electoral college chooses the president. Not exactly as legitimate of a system as we like to think.

And as for travesties, we readily lock people up based on their racial heritage in the name of national security. Governmental officials constantly missappropriate tax payer money. Relief fund money to New Orleans is still being held back. I'm sure most people have seen that email of the number of people in Congress whom have been convincted of crimes/drug abuse/etc. We invaded another country under false pretenses.(WMDs anyone?) The US attributes for about 25% of the imprisoned population of males age 18-35. That's a lot.

We are also the only country to ever use nuclear weapons against another. Not taking into regard the many generations of after effects to innocent civilians. We bully other countries, have the pompous notion that our way is the best way, and constantly interfere in foreign issues when the politicians money is at stake.(ie oil money) And what about the fact that the CIA has actually worked with Bin Laden before? And we have traded weapons to terrorist groups to get hostages back.

When you look at our nation and the stuff we have done in the past century, should our government officals be allowed to place memorials anywhere? Maybe the president of Iran isn't a good person, but does that mean we don't let him do a good thing? How many bad people do you think have paid their respect at the memorial over the years? Doing so is a good thing. Maybe one good thing in a slew of bad ones. And don't we really need more good in the world?

Recently most of the news is about Burma! Seems this country newly discovered!
But last week what Ahmadinejad told about homosexuals was in agenda! lol

thanks for your sentnces. yeah, we have to look at the things as they are. For long time we (Iranian) used to believe that Iraqis are our enemy, now they are our friend! I can tell you that Iranian don�t consider you as bad guys, even inverse we have good opinion about you.
Most of governments, positions and religious leaders love to be in the top I think.

Maybe I have to mention this post in comic part.
