Thank you again Rae for helping with my piercing.. its seems to have healed nicely so far. I have no intensions on changing the jewellery yet.. but cuious as to when I can.. I wanted to put a gold stud in there instead of surgical steel...when do you think a good time to change that would be? unforuntly the place I got it pierced didnt give me must information on the whole deal.. maybe because Im older they figure I just know.. I dont !! things have changed since I was a rebel and had my ears pierced in my firends house without permisson..lol and 3 times.. god I was a crazy girl..lol also when can I take it out to give it a good clean? Id like to be able to clean the jewellery too .. or am I way ahead of myself?

The standard healing time for a nose piercing is about three months. At that time you have to evaluate how your nose feels, and if you think it's healed, you can change the jewelry. Leaving jewelry out at this "young" a piercing can result in the piercing shrinking or closing down. It can take a few years for that effect to stabilize for some people.

You should be able to clean it appropriately with jewelry in. Rings make it the easiest on cleaning as you can turn the jewelry while leaving it in place, with studs you just have to push it forwards and back as far as you can without dislodging it.
