Are there any fans of this white wine? It is truly my favorite and unfortunately sort of hard to find. We have two wineries in my area that produce a nice, light yet spicy Gew�rztraminer.

Love it - light enough to have as a before dinner drink, spicy enough to stand up to Chinese, Mexican-American or even grilled food (just excellent with grilled salmon). Fetzer & Hogue both make a good and very reasonably priced Gewurtz.

I've also used it in a white sangria - stands up well to the citrus fruits as well as strawberries, raspberries and/or cherries.

Yes! I do love Fetzer as well and also adore a local wine by Foris. Its great with salmon, I agree, and I enjoy it with Halibut tacos.

We love Gerwurtz with turkey at Thanksgiving. Since it is Thanksgiving day in Canada today, you can be assured we had a bottle of it with dinner tonight!
If you can get Canadian wines, I heartily recommend the Strewn Riesling Gerwurtz combination. Not so heavy and oily as pure G. but a very pleasant everyday wine I've come to favour.

This wine brings back lots of great memories for me! My parents always have some on hand for family celebrations. It's great.

One of the great things about Gewurtraminer is that it tastes great with a wide variety of foods. Columbia Winery makes a good Gewurtraminer that you can find for under $10. At Thanksgiving I tried 2 Gewurtaminers that are not as common: Valckenberg from Germany and still a bargain at around $11 and Trimbach from France for around $25. I probably preferred the Trimbach, but for the price the other was good as well.
