I have a Qu Gong video and altho I never got into doing the poses, this one has an energy exercise at the beginning of it that I've done for several years. It involves making a closed fist and lightly "tapping" (!) over the entire body, down the arms and legs, the kidney area, etc. It really wakes your body up. She also did joint rolls, like rolling the hips around in circles, ankles, etc. I still do this many mornings to energize my body up.

Belly dancing! Well I can see how that might be hard on your joints. I think Qi Gong would help that or yoga stretches. Have you found a Qi gong class to take in the area?

Yes, I love EFT! The Wealth Beyond Reason program highly recommends it for getting rid of old ideas about money that don't serve you but many, many people use it for health issues too. I find it more useful for emotion-based issues-but then, most things are emotion-based in the end.

I am trying a new version I read about where you use gratitude in your phrasing instead of the usual "even tho I have this problem, I deeply and completely etc" Another one I use sometimes is phrasing things in the form of a question. I read that our mind accepts something as true more easily when phrased as a question like "Why do I feel so energetic this morning?"

Did you subscribe to the EFT newsletter? There are some great articles in there.

Hi Joan!

I've seen that Qi Gong exercise you are talking about on You Tube. I did the session along with the lady and liked it. I also have a very old VHS tape I found at Half Price Books of Qi Gong exercises, but I'm ashamed to say that I didn't do the exercises regularly enough to know what kind of impact they might have. I also lift weights, do Tae Bo, and Pilates so I'm afraid I put my priority on making sure those got done by the end of the evening instead. I LOVE yoga! That's so cool that you do it, too! Have you been practicing long? You are so right. It really does help. I can really feel a huge difference in my whole body when I practice it regularly.

With the Qi Gong, I think I would do better to attend a class. I think I would stand a better chance of getting hooked on it. There is a lady in the next town who does acupuncture. Her website said she might also perscribe Qi Gong exercises and herbal remedies depending on your issue. I'm thinking I'm going to give her a try next month, and see if she would be willing to teach me or if she could suggest a teacher.

I use the EFT for emotional issues, too. I use it if I get stressed out over something or if there is something I need to stop thinking about and let it go. smile

Hope you are having a wonderful day!

I'll have to check out the video on U Tube. I hadn't thought of looking there but I've seen other great clips.

I love Half Price Book store! I get lots of my books there. I'll check out the video section. My daughter has all the Tae Bo CD's but I haven't tried those. I'm actually an avid walker for exercise too. I walk with my dogs for up to an hour a day so that keeps me in shape.

I've been doing yoga off and on for about 4 years. I've never taken a class but love the videos by Rodney Yee and Patricia Walden.

Your acupuncture lady sounds good. It would be nice to find a Qi Gong class at the same place. The ones I've seen are at the Y or Rec Centers where you have to pay a fee to join.

Great chatting with you!

I know a healer that's kind of in your area. Let me ask her permission to connect you & then I'll PM you her email. I trust you can do the rest.

Side note, even though I live in WI, I actually dated a guy from Arlington, Tx. Small world, eh?

Thanks BellaMeg! It would be great to talk to someone who comes with a recommendation.

Yes, it's a very small world. I've never lived in Wisconsin but my husband lived there for 4 years when he was in the Navy.

I think that any chakra can be cleansed by-
aura cleaning
reiki on chakra till it stops going.
After that balance all the chakras and seal with whitelight.

thanks for the great article.

I read someplace that those with a healthy root chakra are good at reading maps. Mine must be all out of whack as I never know east from west, what way I'm going and I couldn't find my way out of a paper bag!

My daughter and husband are exactly the opposite so at least I don't get lost.

I don't know about map reading- I guess the person thought that being well grounded helped- my roots run deep in the Earth but I still struggle with directions sometimes smile
