Does anyone know of a good book or video on chakra cleansing? I think some types of yoga are supposed to also be good for this.

Thanks,
Joan

I have the book "The Chakra Workout," it has several examples of the way different traditions balance the body's energy.

Depending on the area of TX you live in, I might even be able to recommend some live instructors for you to check out.

I live in Arlington which is between Dallas/Ft Worth. I probably wouldn't want to go into Dallas or Ft Worth for a class tho. Maybe if there was a one day work shop or something, I could check it out.

How do you go about finding an instructor? Would it be a yoga studio or some other type of place? I'm new to this.

I'll check out the book tho too.

Thanks

Hi Joan

Fortunately there are many ways to clear your chakras. It is one of the things a crystal therapist like me will normally work on.

Meditation is a good method if you are working alone. Focus on each chakra in turn from the base up and imagine it is being refreshed by beautiful crystal clear water which takes any 'muck' harmlessly away and leaves it sparkling clean.

Thanks for asking this question...I feel an article coming on smile

I'd love to see an article on this Lauren!

I do meditation daily so will add this. I have a meditation CD that includes one on chakra clearing and has certain chants for each one also.

I have been researching self-healing techniques lately and I think chakra clearing is an important aspect of self-healing or even keeping yourself healthy in the first place.

Absolutely Joan. It sounds like you are doing many of the right things already smile

Perhaps others might like to chime in here with the techniques they use?

I had no idea that it could make such a difference! A friend of mine is big into "energy healing" and she goes to an energy healer but I'd rather not spend the money, if at all possible. I'm already doing acupuncture for a health issue.

I'd read tho that clearing your chakras can help other types of energy healing work better.

have you tried reiki?

Hi Joan! I live just outside of Dallas. Have you found anyone in Arlington to do chakra clearing yet? I'm interested in having sessions, too. I want to find someone that is the "real deal" and not someone trying to earn a buck, though. You had mentioned that you have acupruncture done. Is it helping you? I've had acupressure and loved it, but I've never tried acupuncture. I know it's the same meridians and principles, but I just had it for a problem with my knee. I've never tried it for anything else. Thanks!

I haven't found anyone in Arlington to do either energy healing or chakra clearing-for the same reason as you-I want the real thing. Not sure how to go about finding that when i know very few people here. When I lived in Oregon, a friend went to an energy healer and got some chakra clearing exercises and they helped her a lot.

As to acupuncture, I am going in relation to a problem with my nervous system and, yes, it is helping. I have a constant tingling sensation throughout my body and acupuncture has eased the symptoms. My daughter also went for a stone bruise on her foot from playing softball. She's a pitcher and constantly landed on this bruise. He got rid of the pain in one session. She also went for wrist pain and he helped that too.

Have you ever tried EFT? I've been using that too to clear energy pathways in my body. Hi Joan!

Thanks so much for writing to me. smile It's so nice to "talk" with someone who lives around here. I had to smile when you suggested EFT! I have indeed used EFT! (laughs) I really like it. Isn't it funny the way stuff like that actually does work?

Wow! Now I REALLY want to try acupuncture. LOL. It sounds like it's been great for you and your daughter. I have been taking belly dance class for a little over a year and a half now. We put on a show back in February, so prior to performance night, I was rehearsing for 3-6 hours every day. I kept that up for two months. LOTS of hip work. My left hip still complains after I do even an hour class. I strained something. It sounds like acupuncture might really do the trick.

I'm going to try Qi Gong for my energy, too. Have you looked into that?

Thanks again!
