a few nights ago I dreamed that a friend of mine had a baby. This was what I call a generic friend, noone I know in real life, just someone who shows up in my dreams. Anyway, this friend really wanted to breast feed her baby but was unable to. She asked me if I would consider doing it for her and I said sure! That would be impossible since my "baby" is over thirty years old. But in the dream I was able to provide plenty of milk. I do remember feeling a little resentful in the dream, like I told her I would do it but I didn't really want to. Any ideas?

Hi Lindamunchkin! Are you feeling anywhere in your life a little worn out or resentful of needing to be the nurturer? It sounds like you're a very capable person in many ways and it may be that others turn to you to look after things for them - things they really ought to do for themselves. You might be so capable that helping them out is really no big deal for you, but even when one is essentially glad to do it, there's still room for a little healthy pique in HAVING to do it.
It also occurs to me that you might be facing a return to work... ok with doing it, but still kind of miffed that it is needed. Does any of this ring a bell? T
