had a short hair-cut that's a bit too short ... *sigh* must wait for it to grow back again ... anyone has tips on how to help your hair grow faster?

have heard about head massages, brushing your hair 100 strokes per day, shampooing more often and taking vitamin B groups supplement. anything else? Thanks! laugh

I don't think you can accelerate hair growth. I think your hair grows at a set rate--usually .25 a month--and what is important is actually retaining length. Hair usually breaks at the ends, but people think that their hair isn't growing. I just recommend not washing your hair too often, instead condition your hair. When you shampoo your hair just use the shampoo directly on the scalp as shampoo is not meant for hair. Shampoo has detergents similar to those found in laundry detergent and can be very drying which leads to breaking. Also, make sure your hair does not constantly rub against your shoulders or clothes.

as a general rule, hair will grow approximately one half inch a month until the hair is about 6 inches long. After that point the hair growth will slow to about one quarter an inch a month. It also depends on nutrician, hair condition, hair products, and how you care for your hair.

It is important not to wash your hair daily with over the counter detergant based shampoos (which most otc are) but instead with shampoos and conditioners that are specifically formulated for your hair type and what you expect from it (anti-friz, hydrate, etc). Make sure you also do not use your finger tips to scrub the scalp but instead use circular motions with the pads of your fingers.

Most importantly, be healthy and treat your hair and body with respect and the hair growth should come easily. Frequant trimmings to control the splitting ends helps as well.

my hair is long and thick, i can sit on my hair, because i don't leave my house but once a week for a couple of hours, i can get away with only washing it 2 or 3 times a week, i leave conditioner on all during my shower, i pin it up during showers i don't wash it. i think shampoo can dry my hair out i use shampoo that i can get under 1.00 because of financial reasons but pay a little extra for my conditioner. also my mother and her side of the family all had thick hair,

Yes. I am the same. Weird that isn't it? you get bored with long hair and as soon as its gone you miss it when you see it on others!
