I just recently tried Cool Brew, cold brewed coffee. Ever try it? I am a convert. I have been drinking the hazlenut flavor hot and cold and it is delicious ( shocked and no I don't work for Cool Brew, nor do they pay me.)

Has anyone ever tried it or the cold brew method?

The product sounds similar to a product that was used in a restaurant I worked at many years ago. I can't remember what the name of the product was but, it was a concentrate and made the most wonderful cup of coffee. That Cool Brew sounds as though it would be even better. Definitely an "I gotta get summa that" kind of coffee.

Tried that and then coincidentally saw an article about a Toddy coldbrew coffee system for the home. Bought one of these on ebay and now both my daughter and myself are converts. You put, in the order they direct you to use, a pound of coffee and nine cups of water in their apparatus...really a simple plastic "brewer" and a glass container for the finished brew. It sits quietly for 12 hours at which time you bottle the concentrate you've made. Much less acid than regular brewed coffee plus it's just delicious at all times. You dilute the concentrate according to taste, either half concentrate, half water, etc. and then microwave. No more bitter coffee...ever. Keeps a long time in refrigerator and, plus, makes fabulous iced coffee!

I love cold brewed coffee, but I've never tried to make it myself. I definitely want to try making it sometime!

Cold brewing is the process by which it is brewed. You can then drink it hot or cold. Sometimes when you make iced coffee with hot-brewed coffee, it has a bitter after taste. You don't get that with cold brewing. You can do it yourself like Luanne says or you can purchase it already made for you like Cool Brew.
