I haven't had a chance to check out why yet, but Edge had to give up his title due to an injury that he said Kane did it last week during Edge's Mardi Gras celebration.

Tonight on SD they had a 20 man over the top rope battle royal to decide a new champion and Khali eliminated both Kane and Batista at the same time to become the new champ.

It's a lot less meaningful and convincing to me when a company has 3 World titles

Good point. One company, One world title.

If they were smarter they'd have 4 HW titles.
ECW HWC, SD HWC, RAW HWC........and a World Champ (who could be from any brand. Big event title only.)

Makes me wonder why they haven't done that yet.

I'd love for a one traveling champion between the shows but, my guess is, that would be a hell of a schedule for one person to have to take on. They hit enough cities in a weeks time to have to jump all over the country and have time to cut promos, get work outs in and set up matches.

Well, he (The Champ) could just concentrate on that one title though. They could treat it as a more serious title. It would only need to be defended at the PPV's and on the Biggest house cards. If WWE did this, The World HW Champ, whoever that may be, would get immediate cred as the Real World Champ. Instantly giving WWE the most prestigeous title in the World. IMO anyway.

The WWE won't do that. WCW and ECW had their own World championships and that is what they are going by. What they need to do is change Smackdown to WCW and give each of them (Raw, WCW or SD, and ECW)their own GM'S and stop having wrestlers go between them (which I think they have done now)and then stop having multi brand PPVs.

Wrestlemania could be the only inter brand card and the Royal Rumble. Have each brand do their own PPV, lower the PPV'S to about 2 or 2/12 hours, lower the price and the world will be a happier place.

Technically, the only real World championship belt they have is the Intercontinental belt because that has been defended around the World with most recently in Italy when Santino Marella won it from Umaga.

Yes, I am in agreement though. One World Champion and then have an Intercontinental, the U.S. and then for ECW either a Hardcore title or a Television title or a Raw champ, a SD champ and and an ECW champ like they have now.

Those belts could all be the number one contenders to the World belt and the three of them could batlle on a card prior to a a PPV and then have that person challenge the champ on the PPV card.

The same thing with the World Tag titles. Have a tag champ on all three brands and then one World Tag Team Champ.

Heck they have PPV cards twice a month now so it wouldn't be long for World title matches to take place.

Its not like they have a World title defense every week anyway.
