How does one go about achieving this mode.

I haven't gotten it myself yet, but basically you have to have everyone except the person you want to learn flee the battle (press right then select escape in the menu of the two you want to send out) + have your guy/girl beat up the enemy. Have to do it a bunch of times though, it seems

hm, didn't realize you just needed to keep blocking. Guess that would have been to simple for me ;-) Tried getting Loner in several battles and all I'd have had to do is keep blocking in one, sheesh! Oh well, now I know, thx <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

i just done it my self, you get it by fighting alone... dont matter what you do, but the fastest way is to

get some armor with "fire eater"

find a fire flan (east calm lands)

cast slow on it and have everyone but the fire eater "escape"

keep tapping triangle for about 3 minutes and it will say you have gained overdrive mode "loner".

if you have no fire eater cast heal.

what do you mean if you lvl up well its usless? its hard to get? or overdrive dont gain from it?
