Has anyone any advise for/or experience with growing roses in a tropical climate?

About 12 months ago I brought 3 bare rooted iceberg roses from Australia to Malaysia. They grow fine, but had a lot of trouble with Thrips. Since I stopped spraying Malathion, they grow better and keep their leaves.
The main problem now is that the flowers are very small, when I had the same roses in Australia the flowers were twice as big.
How to go about pruning, because there is no winter here and the plants grow and flower all year round.Any advise and/or tips most welcome.

Hello and Welcome!

Roses are not really meant to be tropical plants. They need a period of dormancy between growing periods rest and regenerate.
If they are potted you could probaby achieve this by bringing them in for several months and keeping them in a cool place such as a refrigerator unit.
