The following was posted in my "Welcome to the Forum" thread a couple of days ago in the Job Search forum. The poster is a devoted teacher who is looking to transition into a natural health career in the Los Angeles area. I'm not very familiar with this field, so I am creating a dedicated thread to make it more visible to see if anybody on the boards can help out. I've copied and pasted her entire post below:
I need help! I am an inner-city teacher with 7 years of turmoil experience, I am the one teacher that can get the kids attention, teach them the value ofeducation, get then to participate in their own education and raise their test scores, and academic level by 1-2 grade levels. BUt my administrators act jealous because the state has been on them about low test scores and an organized school. The administrators credit themselves with my results! I can do this because I am a product of theinner-city and I understand what the students are faced with on a daily bases.
Now I am tired, and on blood presure meds. because it is hard workingwith some of these kids, my success rate is 98%. I have loved studying and working with herbs and aromatheraphy for the last 10 years.. I now seek a rewarding peacful career. What career field canteaching with a MA Degree transistion into? Better still can anyone help me get into the Natural Health Field? I do need to make money. I would be willing to work with anyone in the Los Angeles area to make this happen. Or anyone that can help me, I am so tired of what I now do. I still want to work with children, like teaching them and their parents about healthy eating and a peaceful lifestyle. HELP!!!!!!!!!
