I have been told by CDMohatta that I remind her of another member, Alexandra. I have looked this member up, and perused many of her posts and comments.
I find much of what she said completely logical and sensible, and extremely perceptive.
I hope that she will be back soon, because i would love to meet her, and she sounds very knowledgeable.

But I noticed two things:
the first is that her last post was on the 22nd of june, so she has been absent for a while. does anyone know if is she on holiday?

then I notice she had some friction with some members because her approach seemed to be one that not many people could accept very readily, which i can understand.

perhaps there may be a reason.
If she is a follower of tibetan buddhism, then there is a very strong tradition of debate. Buddhism is perhaps also a psychological or philosophical religion, and therefore thrives on discussion and discovery.
I think this was her aim in many of her posts. to try to draw people into a good lively topic or debate, to establish points of argument.
if she did not explain this, then it is no wonder some grew impatient or angry with her! But from what i can read of her comments, this would have been fruitful, educational and informative. It is a shame such responses were made to her and that she was dismissed so unconstructively.
I would like to talk to her, and maybe we can try to establish a buddhist thread of debate. This would be most illuminating.

I have copied some links to illustrate my points.

I have been in touch with Alexandra. She will no longer be with us here on the forums. I am hoping she will consider joining our Tuesday night chats though.

I am sure she stated at one time which school she practices from but I cannot recall right now which she stated. I personally am practicing Tibetan but learning from the others. My son is interested in buddhism as well. I read him things from all the schools.

Do you know if she will receive private messages or e-mail?

I would also ask why she is going to be away?

She will have to answer that, I am sure if you send her a private message she may answer you.
