I hope you're enjoying the mini-series on tin foil dinner recipes and tips! Our family had a blast trying them and since our initial experiement, we've successfully repeated several new recipes on various campouts.

Now, I will admit, I've never been a S'mores fan. (Can you believe that!!) But as my daughter and I were camping with other mothers and daughters this past weekend I tried my own 'fruity' S'more and it was delicious. Simple toast a marshmallow, place it on a graham cracker and top it with a fresh, juicy strawberry and another graham cracker. Delicious! (I sliced the big strawberries in half.)

Does anyone else have other fun tin foil recipes or camp ideas to share? What about fun campfire stories or memories?

I love the old standard: hamburger patty, sliced potatoes and carrots.

That is good, isn't it! Do you slice your carrots or grate them?

I love the way you can customize that "traditional' recipe for everyone. Two of my boys like lots of hot red pepper flakes sprinkled on theirs before cooking, another likes onions.

At last weekend's campout, one mother even formed her hamburger into small meatballs because her girls like meatballs better than patties. I'd never seen that before but it worked beautifully. I guess the traditional tin foil dinner is far from traditional, and you are right...it is very good!
