Hi, All! I am in New Mexico. I learned to crochet a very long time ago. It was my passion for a long time. If it involves a fiber I do it. Now my passion is spinning my own yarns. Takes much longer to get a project done. I am a mother of 3, grandmother of 4. I am in the process of teaching one of the grands the fine needle arts and spinning. She asked the other night to learn loom knitting.

As the new spinning editor, I will be sending crochet questions over here. You all come visit me too.

My name is Stephanie and I live in Indiana with my daughter and 2 cats. I just found this forum and registered today.

I crochet, and crochet only. My mind can't handle more than one craft.

* Most recently finished item - scrap afghan

* On hook now - prayer shawl

* Favorite crochet book - All of them????

I recently started a prayer shawl ministry at my church and we are enjoying the work. I am also a member of the Indianapolis Crochet Guild.

Stephanie

Hi, my name is Wen, I live in PA. I'm 40 and have been crocheting for 31 years. My Mimi taught me. I've also been knitting for about 2 years now and spinning for about 3 months. I have I have fiber aquisition syndrome... If it's able to be spun, knitted, felted or crocheted.. I gotta have it!!! I follow the 12 step program. buy buy buy in all 12 months.. not one must go by with out fiber purchase of one form or another. I came here looking for ideas and am hoping to find instructions for a missing stitch pattern called a postage stamp stitch.

Hi, I'm Krzy 4 Krosha and I crochet blankets for infants, toddlers, children, and teens who are sick in the hospital. I have been doing this since I retired.

A group of ladies meet at our local Senir Center each week and chit chat and knit and crochet for charity. Great Times.

We do get yarn donated to us. Anyone know how to tell if yarn that has no label on it, can be tested to see if it is wool or not? We cannot use wool for the blankets we make.

Hi I'm Cathy and just joined. Recently started crocheting while recovering from a hysterectomy and couldn't move or do much other than sit on the couch. I have a cool pattern I would like to do but need advice and guidance from more skilled sista's! Hoping to find that help and mentoring here! Should add that I'm located in upstate New York

Hi y'all,

I'm Lynn and live in GA. My grandmother taught me to crochet when I was 6 or so. I also knit, embroider, cross stitch, quilt, sew, do kid crafts with my granddaughter and I enjoy doing home dec and improvement projects. If it's a textile, fiber or craft I'm in love with it....LOL. If I could have 30 hour days and 8 day weeks I would love to learn how to spin and weave. Oh well, guess I'll have to wait until I retire.
