Hi!
I've just finished the game and somehow I think that the magus sisters are kind of useless and even a hassle to obtain.
Firstly I think they are useless if you already have Anima. Anima's normal attack is at least as powerful as the sisters' and Anima's overdrive is much more powerful. Therefore, if you already have Anima, there is really no need for the sisters.
Secondly, in the final battle, you have to kill of ALL your aeons one by one, this is fine with all other aeons, but for the sisters, there are THREE of them, all with high HPs, this makes them very hard to kill by using other aeons except for bahamut.
The only use for them I can think of is for killing dark aeons.
Anyone agree with me?

I wouldn't say so. One of the sisters (can't remember the name) is WAY stronger than Anima. Also, since there are three of them, it's harder to loose the battle, because they protect and heal each other. Anima has limited HP and not always enough to stand through the battle. Magus sisters are both stronger and healthier. As for the overdrive, I cannot remember, since both of them are multiply damage base overdrives. It could be that Anima's overdrive is more powerful. Besides, you would feel unsatisfied, if you found all but one aeon. So, I guess, having the Magus Sisters is a must from all points o view.

Hi Aintd,
I kind of disagree with you. The damage of physical attack is based on your strength, the higher your strength value is, the more damage you can do with physical attacks. It's possible that when you first obtain the sisters, sandy (the middle one) would probably have higher strength than anima, but when both of them reach the max strength (255 I think), then there aren't any differences.
I think it's almost impossible to lose battles once your anima has 255 strength, no monsters other than the dark aeons can withstand anima's overdrive. In fact, most of the bosses/monsters can be killed with one physical attack from anima.
With dark aeons, normally they are much faster than your aeons, therefore the sisters can rarely have time to heal each other.
But yes, it's true that it feels good to have all the aeons.

Well, yes, theoretically, you can upgrade Bahamut to that level too, or even other aeons. But till you have them this way, sisters are great. Anima is easier to kill since it's a single target. But of course, no one can withstand a 99999 damage apart from specific bosses. So, his attacks are devastating. So are the sisters'. As for the overdrive, I haven't compared the two, but I suppose that Anima has a stronger one. But from this point of view, no other aeons are needed. You just have Anima and voila!
Having all aeons, also gives you more flexibility as well as a more comfortable walk through long levels such as Omega Ruins. Yojimbo is priceless when it comes to Dark Aeons. Not even Anima can deal with them.

And of course, if you don't want to get the Sisters then you can also forget about getting Yuna's Celestial Weapon, the Nirvana. And we wouldn't want that now, would we?

I always wondered why they looked like bugs.

They are from an older FF game, and they looked like bugs in that, so they didnt change...
The Magus sisters are WAY better than Anima, all through the game. For example, if you max out the stats for every character (impossible yes, but just an example) Anima and Magus sisters do the same damage attacking. But the Magus sisters get 3 attacks to one. The magus sisters take longer to take down.
Also, replacing your three characters with ANima is a disadvantage, from 3 attackes down to one. Not so with the Magus sisters. Its like keeping the same characters out, but guaranteed that you wont get game over if they die.

The Magus Sisters are too hard and complicated to get. I'll stick with Anima anyday.
