Yep. Basically anything other than a cat or dog is considered "exotic." Rabbits, birds, mice, hamsters, lizards, etc.
There is an entire section of veterinary medicine devoted to exotics and it can be tough to find an exotics vet even in a decent-sized city. And among them, there are various levels of expertise with various types of exotic animals. Exotic vet care can be very expensive depending on the type of animal and treatment required.
Sidenote, rabbits are the third most popular pet mammal behind cats/dogs (this does not include fish and birds).
