I was on the phone today helping out a lady and suddenly I hear, "Susie, what are you doing? There is a policeman sitting right next to us! PUT YOUR SEATBELT BACK ON!"

I had to refrain from laughing. She kept telling Susie to put her seatbelt on, and Susie was having none of it. "This is a moving car, Susie! Put your seatbelt back on!"

Although, I do wonder why she didn't pull the car over and do it herself. Talking on a cell phone and yelling at Susie probably isn't the safest thing to do.

LMAO! Talk about "do what I say, not what I do"!

Parents might pay lip service to this fact but I really don't think that a lot of them do know this. They mouth the words but don't really believe that having a kid is going to change their life that much. How they can be so delusional is another topic altogether.

Whats more, they don't care who they inconvenience in order to maintain that delusion.

A lot of the commentors who were parents and agreed with the post are obviously the minority. If well behaved kids in public were the majority we wouldn't be discussing the issue on the boards. I've never understood how parents can just tune out a shrieking child. Maybe they check their hearing and conscience at the delivery room door.

So I'm not the only one. Do people who let their kids scream and shriek in supermarkets and cafes not realise who DAMN ANNOYING it is???? I'd be easy to torture -just put me in a room with a kid making that noise, I'd break in about 2 minutes!!

I really don't remember being allowed to scream in public when I was a kid. I'm sure I would have had a sore bottom if I did that, and wouldn't have tried it again! I agree, it's one of the most annoying things I can think of. I don't get it either. If you want to go someplace where kid screaming is okay, take them to Chuck E. Cheese or the McDonald's playground!
