This is a very cool idea!
I have been toying with the idea of painting my kitchen counters for a while.
I had them professionally coated years ago. Originally they were faux butcher block laminate. A professional bathtub re-finisher also resurfaced laminate counter tops in basic almond... so I went for it! It was such a transformation to get rid of that old butcher block style.
Now... of course the finish is nicked and scratched and looks worn out and outdated. I thought of painting the counters to look like granite, but have plans to put real copper counters in when I remodel. (if that day ever comes)
Has anyone tried this technique yet? What do you think of the idea?
