She puts this way better (tactfully!) than I could.

Great post!
It reminds me of a sign I saw in a store yesterday:
Unattended children will be given an espresso and a new puppy.

Great article. It is SO annoying when parents insist on taking their kids everywhere. Totally inappropriate, and annoying to others that want to have an adult conversation, read or just relax.
It's a major lifestyle change - they know that going into it. But then parents still want to do everything they used to do.
Some of us prefer the company of adults, and shouldn't have to deal with kids at a coffee shop or fine restaurant.

Next time I go to Chicago, I'm vising "A Taste of Heaven"! I'm a fan! I remember reading about it sometime last year when the articles first came out. Hey, it's their cafe, they can run it as they please! If they prefer to try to cater to a clientele that wants to come and relax without having to step around misbehaving kids, I'm with them!
Last night my husband and I were having dinner at a cafe-type restaurant we like. It's not Chuck E. Cheese, but they do have high chairs. I've seen families there often. Anyway, last night a woman was there with her young child, probably about two or a little younger (I'm terrible at kids' ages). He fussed a bit, and when she put him in the high chair, he STOOD up in it! I was scared he was going to fall and crack his head on the tile floor! She seemed unconcerned, but finally made him sit (maybe it was the horrified looks I was shooting over their way). I mean, doesn't she CARE that her kid might get hurt? Even if he fell and was unhurt, the screams would definitely affect other diners' enjoyment of their meals.
If *I* ran a restaurant, it would NOT have high chairs, and strollers would not be allowed. Maybe then people would understand there are places suitable for children, and some that are not.

Cindy,
How do you upload another photo icon, other than the ones offered on this site?

Cindy,
Could you send me that message about uploading icons too? Sorry to post off-topic, but I was wondering the same thing! Thanks!

Cindy,
I was about to ask you the very same thing. Though I love Tigers, I might have some other pictures I like more than this site's graphic....
I would really appreciate it!
Thanks!
