It's dangerous to guess because you might give someone else a clue to where it is I can't take general guesses, because it's very easy to look at a photo and say "that looks like the calm lands" without knowing exactly where in the calm lands it is. The whole point is tracking down the exact spot of the photo I really do need the exact name of the spot, that the game gives you, and exactly where you stand. Otherwise it wouldn't be much of a game

its Lake Macalania its just next to wher the ice cracks and you fall to under the lake and temple you can get there by going north from the macalania woods past the shop and follow the corner round if you continue to follow the path by going under the arch it leads to the temple(there is a screen before you reach the temple's first entrance which splits into 2 but both lead the same way

Yes, The Supreme Alien is absolutely right! It's up on the surface, the name of that spot is "Lake Macalania" (with no other words). And that's exactly how I got there, walking from the Macalania Woods shop

Great job!

well I'm pretty sure TSA has this one wrapped up, but I'll put in a guess to just in case he was wrong or something which he probably isn't because he put what I'm about to put.

It's Lake Macalania on the path to Macalania Temple, located pretty much a little after you leave the woods. You go up the woods path past the spring and the sparkly path and you come out in the white snowy area. You pass the shop there where that kid with the chocobo was and you keep running until you encounter that arch of ice there. And that's where tis.
