Have you or your child been labeled? Have you been given a diagnosis of ADD/ADHD, dyslexia, autism, etc.? How has this impacted your life as a homeschooling family? How have you made this label work for you and your child?
I find it easier to understand my 2e kids now that we have some labels to help explain their quirks. I can offer coping techniques instead of becoming impatient and silently thinking, "Why can't you be normal?" I'm embarrassed to admit this, but it's true.
I have one diagnosed with AS and two diagnosed with AD/HD. Learning at home has been a huge plus in terms of accommodation.
