I missed the part about getting the sperm checked but I stand by the rest of my post. And you are most definately not my friend.
This whole post reminds me of when I was a small child and heard my older female relatives talk. This was a long time ago but you sound just like them. Everything is the woman's fault. Why the little slut is trapping some poor man with sex.
You must live in a different world than I do. Men do not get trapped; they run like hell when they know the kid is theirs.
Just because the woman in the story is stupid the guy is way worse.
Having sex with her one last time because she is a good lay? Then others posting how there are no accidents only women "trapping poor men" Give me a break.
Someone posted about this site being anti mom but this whole thread seems anti women.
I thought this was a nice friendly community but the hardcore childfree sites are much more realistic on how easy it is to get pregnant even on birth control. So I guess the women I consoled while they were crying their eyes out after becomming pregnant while using an IUD or faithfully taking the pill everyday were lying and wanted to get pregnant.
Sand - I'm just wondering why you are so passionate about this subject. You are acting very defensive, especially when posters corrected you because your information about the article was incorrect. I don't think anyone is saying that it's not the man's fault, and I don't think anyone is saying that all women are "accidentally" getting pregnant to trap men.
Alexandra said, "In my experience unfortunately, nowadays, neither sex has the monopoly on being selfish, and out for what they can get. Girls is just as bad as boys."
nosy wrote, "They both seem a bit off. "
iwonder said, "And I almost believe his actions were justified, he did nothing more than she did. But when it comes to bc, both parties are equally responsible."
Pikasam said, "I just don't believe that anyone ends up "accidentally pregnant". There's no such thing. You were stupid, careless or both." She's absolutely correct. If someone gets pregnant and is on BC, then she is probably not taking the pill correctly. We use condoms just in case because sometimes I forget and take the pill in the evening instead of the morning. Even if you miss and take 2 the next day, you're okay, but the package clearly reads USE A CONDOM just in case.
Everyone else was writing about personal experiences, not saying EVERY woman is out to do this, or EVERY woman who gets pregnant does it to trap a man.
However, there ARE women out there who have tried this tactic. My friend who has been "accidentally" pregnant twice DID it to get her guy to commit, and he had none of it. He insisted on the abortion (and even though I think he didn't have the right to insist that, it was the right thing to do.) BTW - she learned that tactic from her mother, who did "trap" her father. (They got divorced after the second child.) Yes, my friend is nuts (she swears by "The Rules," in case anyone has heard of it.)
You're taking something and turning it into a blanket statement, but you are posting in the same way. When you write "Men do not get trapped; they run like hell when they know the kid is theirs," you are implying that ALL men run, but I'm pretty sure that's not what you mean. There were several posts in this thread demonstrating that the men did NOT run from a pregnancy. Just as all women who accidentally get pregnant don't do it to try to trap their boyfriend.
I wouldn't say that this thread is anti-women. It's anti-morons.
The whole point was that BOTH people involved in the Craig's List post are losers. I wouldn't say one was worse than the other, they both are pretty much complete wastes.
You mentioned that "the hardcore childfree sites are much more realistic on how easy it is to get pregnant even on birth control." Yes, it is, if you read what Pikasam said. You are either stupid or careless.
