So.... school's out for the summer and I can get back to spending time making jewelry. Yay! I'm looking forward to the design time and possibly playing around with some new techniques. Anyway...
I finally got myself a digital camera. A while back I had posted about getting work up on the internet and one of my big problems was the photo issue. I've been experimenting with lighting and different settings. Haven't perfected it yet, but.... we'll see. I need to rig something up so I have a plain background that doesn't distract from the jewelry design. I was wondering if anyone had tips for photographing their jewelry designs they could share. I like shooting the photos outside as the natural sunlight provides a nice sparkle, but also provides a nice pain with shadows.
I'm not a "professional" designer as many of you here are. For me jewelry making has also been just a hobby. However, I've had a lot of people asking recently about my designs and if I have a website. I'm a musician and will occasionally have a jewelry display out at different venues my band performs at. As of right now I'm happy with this, but you never know where life leads...
