!WARNING! This message talks about what happens at the end of the game.

i just completed final fantays x and im kinda confused with a few things that happened. Firstly is Tidus just dreaming and everything that happens just a dream. And whats this about the fayth dreaming up Tidus' exsistence in spira. Does Tidus return to Zanarkand after he dissappears. Can someone plz answer me some questions becuase its driving me mad.

Well, I guess that fayths' dream was keeping the old Zanarkand alive. Now that they have awaken, the old Zanarkand is gone, and Tidus as well. They didn't explain it too well, but I think it's the way it is.

So all of the Zanarkand that u start in and everyone in it arent actually real, they're just dreams of the fayth. ok that makes sense but if Tidus is just a dream then how does he exsist in the real world of spira and after the credits at the end he wakes up in some water so wots that all about. i would be very grateful if someone could explain this to me. Well ... not exactly the dream. You see, THAT Zanarcand was 10000 years ago. Sihn attacked. Instread of getting killed, Tidus got transfered far into the future with help of Auron, which came FROM the future, as Jekt has asked him to. And I guess, there was that fictional Zanarkand, kept alive by the power of fayths' dream. As for what happened to Tidus at the very end ... no idea. I guess it could mean, that Tidus existed only as long as faiths kept on dreaming, and there was some kind of bound between him and fictional Zanarcand. Zanarcand is gone, so is he. As for the awakening in water. It could mean, that he once again got transfered in time, to the past, where faiths were still dreaming, ans Sin still existed. This is mind braking, but there isn't much explanation there, is there? So, all we can do is keep on guessing ... OR ... <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> You can pass the game one more time from the beginning and pay more attention to the story line, maybe it will make more sence. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

cheers. That does make a lot more sense now but as u said they dont really explain it very well. i guess they did that on purpose to keep u guessing. i saved it before i completed the final boss and im goin to go back and carry on playin. The only thing left to do now is beat the dark aeons.

They actually do a good job of dropping hints as you go along, telling you how the Zanarkand of Tidus was a long time ago, and then tell you on Gagazet that the old Zanarkand was only being kept alive as a dream. So at that point you knew Tidus was just a dream that the Fayth were keeping alive. But Tidus even asks them if he's going to disappear when they stop dreaming and they say no. They say that he and his father were so powerful that they both had more life than just that dream. So they would continue to survive after the dream went away.

If they kind of "promised" him that he wouldn't disappear, why did he do? When he jumps of the flying ship, it looks as he's about to be gone.
Awakening in the water. I have a new guess ... weird, but somehow adjusts to the theory. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Faiths play a trick and Tidus goes semitransparent on the ship, then everything goes normal, but he had already jumped off it. And this way he justs falls into the sea, being considered gone by everyone. A bit silly. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I thought he went to the Farplane, because Auron, Braska, and his dad was there. Well, thats how I saw it anyway.

the story line is simple and great its not hard u need an imagination

You can imagine anything you want, that's true. But what DEVELOPERS wanted to say with the ending? I mean, they couldn't just have done it without having something specific on their mind.
