The basic things I would do is 1. Try to improve diet the best you can (do your best, but dont let occasional trips to McDonalds or Taco Bell get you down, unfortunately Taco Bell is a regular for me and I'm seven months)2. Go ahead and start cutting way back on caffeine. I ended up going cold turkey on that because I got pregnant before I meant to. I drink no caffeine now except maybe a sip or two of my husbands Dr. Pepper every once in a while. It's not that easy. 3. Walk. Walking to me is the best laid back excercise. Some hip exercises would probably be good too. My hips hurt a lot and pop when I move which is bittersweet. Chiropractic care is a good thing to get too. 4. Take prenatal vitamins a couple of months before you try and there after. I take generic kind which my doctor said was fine and my baby is thriving. It makes you feel better if your diet isn't the best it could be. 5. If you are not used to drinking at least 64 ounces of water a day, go ahead and get used to it. That was so hard for me to do because I was one of the worst water drinkers. Those are the main things I can think of. I hope they help in getting you started.

I had four babies, all to full term and all 7.10 to 8.4. Remember moderation. I did different things with different pregnancies, and I can honestly say there was real no difference in the outcome. The first one I was probably the most well behaved, her apgar was the lowest because of how long she was in the birth canal. Again, moderation. You can have coffee--you can even take an aspirin. Just don't over-do anything!

These are great tips, thank you. I adore coffee, so I am starting to cut back now. Now I am starting to wonder about tea. I drink green tea, organic lately. Are any teas okay to drink while ttc and while pregnant?

I am planing to get pregnancy this year. Should I do something for preparation, such as quit coffee or something, any help, please. It is found that pregnant women could drink up to three cups of coffee in pregnancy. You could start eating healthy, quit/reduce smoking if you are a smoker and start taking folic acid that prevents neural tube deformities in fetuses.

Start out by just 'thinking' healthy. My grandfather use to say 'all things in moderation'. There are the obvious things like not smoking, no alchohol or drugs but things like coffee you can drink but again, keep it in moderation. I would suggest no more than 1 cup a day.
Your biggest pregnancy challenge will be fighting the food cravings. Try 6 small meals a day and fight your sugar cravings as much as possible. (they can get bad in your last trimester)
Keep communications going with your doctor on 'everything'. Get as much exercise as time and energy permits. Also, I recommend doing a birth plan. This is a good exercise because if forces you to think about birth options you have but it also forces you to think about what can happen during your birth process so you can plan for the 'what ifs'.
Anyway, good luck, wish I was expecting again :-)

Thanks for all your good suggestions. I've already been pregnant. for almost three monthes. I quit coffee. I am not smoking, and my husband does not smoke when I am in home. I drink a little tea, green tea is good for pregnant woman. But it is hard to keep myself in a good mood. There are a lot of work I must do. And most of them are really troublesome. Is there any good way to be happy everyday, beacuse it is really important to my baby, right?

There is a great new gadget that is FDA approved called the OV Watch. It is supposed to have a success rate after only 3 months of trying. I had a miscarriage over a year ago. My husband and I have always wanted to be parents. We were trying for a year before I purchased the watch. Then after many months of failure, I decided to fork over the $160 bucks for a 3 month supply and OV Watch. Then BAM! In one month, we conceived!!! I am a firm believer in this product. You have to use it religiously and it is costly but very much worth the trouble. Now my husband and I are 14 weeks into pregnancy. I can't wait!!!
