Absolutely right Freebubbles! The Native Americans saw everything as interconnected... that we are all a part of the web of life, and what happens to one of us happens to all of us.

So, they saw recognized the Great Spirit or the Creator.. Mother Earth, Father Sky, Brother Sun and Grandmother Moon. And, like any family, each member had their own part to play.

Four points of the Pentagram I wear represent the four elements of fire, water, earth and air.. the top point represents spirit.
and the circle around them represents the circle of life.

Humans are created out of the exact same substances as the earth. We are, in effect, extensions of the earth. And the earth is created from the same substance as the Universe.. energy.. we are all made up of energy!!

So, when I am honoring the earth, the sun, the sky, air, fire, water or earth.. I am honoring everything that I am.. as well as everything we all are.

We are all one big family freebubbles.. like it or not.. we all come from the same source.. whatever we choose to call that source.

I guess you could say that my belief goes beyond God.. in that it encompasses that which created God. In Gnostic belief the God that is worshipped here is not the creator God, but a manmade creation that is subject to human emotions, fears and the need for control and power. Kabbala recognizes that El and Sophia are the co-creators.. Actually El is seen as the unknown creator.

If you get a chance to read the Gospel of Judas, you may find it interesting.. in the Gospel Jesus claims that his home is actually where the Great Goddess dwells.. and he laughs at his disciples for believing in the manmade God here.

I find it all interesting. The fact of the matter is.. we just don't know.. we can speculate .. but none of us were here when Jesus was here. and none of us were here when the Earth came into being.. we only have books that try and define the how, what and where.

LOL I am glad you understood what i was trying to say!!

Here is another question with all the Dead Sea Scrolls, Apcorapha, Gnostic books ect...

How do you know that you have a copy of the book that have not been rewrote to say or prove some ones point?

Thats came out judgemental but... I am looking for those books and I want to read them with out the Christian or anyother slant on the texted but I would like something that had some background of when it was wrote and where and what time period so I can put thinks together on my own!!

I have seen the Christian book that has Oh yeah through this out cause the bible says this and that is wrong or the auther was drunk or whatever... and I have seen the Other religions put it in to there context like see this says....so the bible is wrong ...and I just want to read it and make up my own mind because I get cranky when people tell me what to think or beleive!!! lol

Bubbles, in addition to those books, I would read the Jewish bible.. The Torah and Tanakh. They have a lot of things in them that aren't included in the christian bible.

I think that the religions of fear are those like wiccan, new age, and pagan. They cannot seem to defend their faith. They are afraid of the exchange.
