I just got a copy of Michelle's "Dessert Cocktails" and am having a blast trying to figure out what I want to try first, LOL!

The best cocktail I have ever had was at The Red Square restaurant in Las Vegas (Mandalay Bay hotel).

It was called "The Russky Martini", and I don't know if I can remember all the ingredients...but I know it had Zone banana vodka, chocolate vodka, cream de cacoa, and cream. This thing was so smooth, I didn't even realize how strong it was! I had two of them, and it's a darn good thing our room was in Mandalay Bay, 'cause I never would have made it back there otherwise.

What are some of y'alls favorite cocktails from restaurants?

Psssst... Mish, try the Key Lime Pie martini, or the Frozen Mudslide

I usually love to get a Strawberry Margarita when I'm out for dinner with a close group of people, but if it's a staff party or something similar I'll order a Chocolate Martini The latter is a good sipper, doesn't leave seeds in your teeth, and won't give you a brain freeze if you drink it too quickly! lol

Sometimes I'll check out the restaurant specialty, but usually the specialty is whatever happens to be trendy at the time (like a Cosmo). Not really worth splurging over, so unless it's something that looks tasty or fun or unique, I don't bother.

Out clubbin' with my friends, I don't bother with cocktails any more... they are SO expensive (sometimes $7 just for one), and we don't stay in one spot long enough for me to really enjoy it. So I volunteer as the Designated Driver, or drink (*blech*) beer or bottled water.

Raspberry martini's are my favorite. Mmmmmmmmmmmm

Although they are a bit played out from Sex and The City days, I have been drinking Cosmopolitans lately and when they are made right, they are delicious!

check out Barton G (I think they have a website)they are in Miami - south Beach to be exact - they make their drinks with liquid hydrogen to keep them from getting watered down...best martinis EVER!!
