I'm at least a *bit* concerned about this...
Whenever I comb my hair in the morning, it's all fine and I shed the amount of hairs I usually do, but... when my hair rubs against anything, it tends to break off. Especially when I try putting my hair back when it falls before my eyes, I usually can hear and feel a bit of hair at the end break off and make a snapping sound. Some hairs break off completely, and others just a bit at the end.
It also feels thin at some places, more thin then it uses to be.

Since I planned my hair perm for June, I'm worried...
If this continues to happen, I don't want to do it.

I didn't do anything with it in particular, no coloring, no pony tails, just hanging loose, combing it gently usually once or twice a day.
Should I contact my stylist and ask for help or let her deep condition it, or what should I do?

Guess what? I give massages and reiki. More info here!

I would ask your stylist if she can see why it is so fragile. From what you have said, it shouldn't be breaking. Are you out in the wind or sun a lot?

A protein and moisture treatment should help.

I went to the stylist and she agreed that a perm wouldn't be a good idea with the condition it is in now. She recommended me some products for damaged hair that I could use. I already had a hair mask version of the product she recommended me, but to be honest, I almost never used it. I think it's time to start using it now, together with shampoo for damaged hair she recommended, which was the same product line as the shampoo.

With this, I hope to be ready by June for the perm. The closer the date comes, the more I'm looking forward to it. The stylist told me that keep using the products after the perm is going to be necessary or else it'll all sooner or later break of due to excess damage.

My hair is still breaking. What should I do? I'm beginning to feel bad about it. I only washed my hair 3 days ago and it's already limp, greasy and breaking like no tomorrow. cry

Since you have said that you are conditioning and otherwise being careful with your hair, I suggest you make an appointment with a doctor to see if it is health related.

I have been using Garnier Fructis Length and Strength and my hair is definately feeling better and stronger. Before I would have lots of tangles and now I only have a few if I have any. If you go to their website you can get a free sample.

I think it would be best to try conditioning my hair with an overnight treatment and in the meantime look for the Garnier Fructis recommendation and make an appointment with the doctor, maybe let them take a blood sample and analyse it. I'm beginning to get desperate now that I notice that it isn't getting any better soon. I'm willing to try anything if it would help. I'm not a fan of this, but I'm even considering using an egg or even use mayo...
