Well, my partner and I are new to the fish world. We decided to start off small with a 5 gallon tank and once we're comfortable with the ins and outs of maintaining that, we'll be moving up to a bigger one. We've had a betta fish for one year now. His name is Fred and he use to live in a small 1G tank. Anyway, here are some pictures! <img src="/images/graemlins/fish.gif" alt="" />
You don't even know how bad my pictures turn out! I always end up with some sort of glare, or my Beta has left the picture....and, of course, it's usually blurry.
Ok just want to note that some of the photos on the first pages of this thread are non-existant. for thumbnails there are just little blue lines, and if you click them you get a "page not found" on photobucket. I don't know if it is my connection or what, but the pics aren't there :S
What a beauty! I am going to buy some more fish today and was thinking about another Betta. Ours passed a while back and I really miss him. He was such a happy guy! I have a 10 gallon I am using for quaranteen and I think I will put one in there.

I didn't realize what a wonderful fish the Betta's are.. Jules makes me laugh, makes me feel peaceful and I love to make him happy. I bought some frozen brine shrimp yesterday and he LOVES them! They really add something to your day, don't they?
I got a tag along in one of my fish bags. It is a ghost shrimp. I don't know anything about them at all but it is very cute. I am thinking it probably doesn't need to go in the big tank or it will end up being someones midnight snack!

So far so good, I have not lost any fish. Usually it seems that at least one of them doesn't make it. I am debating putting the ghost shrimp in the big tank...so far the other fish seem to be giving him a wide berth.
