Her parents were Bessie Mae and Isadore Denton. They were from the Joliet Illinois (USA) area. She (my mom) was adopted and her dad (denton) passed shortly after her adoption, so her mom didn't know a lot of things.

And I am no pro at geneology. Maybe one day when I get older or something.

I have been known around the web as DoonaFairy for many many years and had a fantastic online social life ..had. Since changing my online name (I do still use my original one in my old haunts)I've noticed a full turn around and seem to be having nothing but a pretty darn hard time of it in my online relationships. I wonder if its because my focus is on "dusty" instead of "doona", or because I'm just not available at the drop of a hat anymore or what? I have been having my awareness guided to this for a couple of weeks. So what do you think...could it be my name change?

Dusty, I'm not sure how many people outside Aus would know what a "Doona" is??? wink

I like "Dusty Leaf", it's pretty - and it seems very Australian to me because our leaves are very dusty at the moment. Every time I read your name I send up a wish for some rain, but I'm also reminded that drought is a cycle like every thing else in nature.

Ok, so what is a doona? Not even your colonial cousins in Canada know!
DustyLeaf, I think getting started anytime anywhere as something or someone new is tough, although it brings with it new potential. We moved often when I was a child- whenever my dad had itchy feet. Some people just move the furniture around or paint the kitchen, but he liked to move. I ended up liking it too, for although each move meant having to learn to fit in with a whole new social group, it also meant I could "do-over" without bringing with me a lot of baggage. So welcome to your new personna. We've had no problem getting to like you just fine! Trishh

Doona is slang for a Duvet or Comforter.

What a lovely image... I think I have doona kitties. Mama cat Lint is introducing the new kittens to the joy of sleeping on the bed with us. T
