Eight years ago today 12 students and 1 teacher were killed before the 2 students, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, who carried out the attack on Columbine committed suicide.

Columbine is closed today as it has been every year on April 20th since the attack.

Families relive Columbine on 8-year anniversary

The gunman at VT reference Klebold and Harris as Martyrs in his video taped rantings.

You are researching serial killers. You are a keen student of crime. You can give the answers.

To begin with-

Lot of fun was made of this boy.

I remember that day so well. I was at work, speaking to a customer in Littleton, CO and she told me about the siege the school was under as we were speaking. That incident shocked the nation. We have become way too familiar with school violence since then.

Our nation is in a very sad state. The VA Tech massacre is proof that our schools will never again be the safe haven they were when my generation was growing up. frown

Being made fun of is not a reason to kill.

The background on both of the boys is terrifying. There were many signs documented along their path.

What is terrifying is their parents were that disconnected.

I hope this tragedy was a wakeup call to teachers and school staff.
