My lovebird laid 4 eggs, conceived about Feb.14th. On March 9th the 1st chick was born, then 7 days later the chick died. The other 3 eggs have not hatched. Do I assume that the last 3 eggs are infertile?
If so should I go ahead and take out the eggs and see if they will start all over again?

Hi My name is justine and my family and I have breeded lovebirds
a few years ago now but we started out with one pair and had over 1dozen babies(I'm not kidding) I suggest you do remove the eggs but do this without the mum not seeing you do it.

How do you have the cage set up? do you have a nesting box for her and you can buy specail nest matrail for here to make a nest.

As for books were are you based ? I live in Australia in Bondi beach if you go on the internet there are website for lovebirds or there petshops that breed birds that should sell books but if you can email me more about how you have the cage set up and how old the pair are i would love to help you more.

My family and I have six pet paarots know we have raised all since the were about 4-6 weeks old and there are now 6yrs old
Hope this helps hope to here from you soon justine

Hi my name is justine and my family and I have breed lovebirds before but it was a few yeard ago we started of with 1 pair and ended up with 1 dozen Im not kidding.

We know have six parrots and our female indain ringneck laid and egg and we removed it after about 2weeks but we removed the egg without the mum seeing you do it.

How do you have the cage set up for them to breed?
Sometimes the mum might not sit on the egg long enough to the eggs warm. We had that happen to us
hope this helps please write back justine

Hi CDL
I would like to know how old your lovebird was when it started laying its eggs. I have a lovebird also and am wondering about this. Thanks, Blueeyedgrl
