Although I have almost always lived by the beliefs of paganism, it has only been recently I realized there was a name for it and others that lived by it. I live in the heartland of the US, where "God" is the only way and to go against their beliefs means great penalties. If it was just me, I wouldn't care, but I have children and will not make them pay for my individuality. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on how to meet others with the same beliefs locally. I don't hide my beliefs. I just don't publicize it, but I would truly enjoy visiting with someone with same beliefs. I mostly spend my time with my daughter or alone because I won't be a hypacrit by pretending I have anything in common with the close-minded, prejudiced people of this small town. All thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Merry Met, Nadaurz!

In Omaha, there is a shop called the Next Millennium. You might contact them and ask if they are aware of any Pagan-oriented groups you might be able to contact.

Also, try looking for a city near you on Nebraska Pagan Meet-Up as you might find a group near you that way.

You can also search for more resources by typing "nebraska pagans" into Google, which is how I found the two things listed above.

Blessed Be,
Rae

Thanks, Rae! As I'm sure you can tell, I'm basically computer illiterate. I only know as much as my kids wanted me to know and the few things I've figured out on my own. I truly thought I was the only one around here! Thanks again!

Yeah, Google is the best. You can find anything there. You might also try Yahoo Groups. I found some Pagan groups in the Atlanta area on there. They might have some in your neck of the woods too...

Thanks! I found someone with many years of experience living within 25 miles of me. She has been in it many years more than I have, yet I'm the closest she's known, too. Oh, the internet is such a wonderful thing!

You might try Myspace Groups as well. It truly isn't just kids on there, as many parents have accounts to check on their children. Maybe you will luck out.

It's harder to find people locally on MySpace groups than on Yahoo Groups in my experience. But they are out there!!
